======================================
Thursday night, 10/23/08, I attended a concert by the modern gypsy group, Luminescent Orchestrii, from Brooklyn, who played at that little slice of modern Bohemia, the Second Story Cafe, upstairs at 550 Westcott Street in Syracuse.

The group's first set leaned more towards traditional Eastern European gypsy music, with their second set venturing more towards gypsy/funk/hip-hop music, which got the college folk in the audience up and dancing.

I shot a few photos using flash, which gave the subjects that frozen-in-time look, as if they were statues.

Shooting a great many shots without flash, I got some interesting intentional blur, which I believe adds to the sense of movement. Also, I just like the way it looks, particularly when one gets an nicely balanced compostion of abstracted blurred images.
